Antelope Island

To keep out of range of the deer hunters during the month of October we headed out to Antelope Island. We took our bikes along. The Scouts biked accross the causeway on Friday night and some of them even continued on to our campsite to complete one of their 10 mile rides for the Cycling merit badge.
We did some Dutch Oven cooking on Friday night which turned out great. We had lasagna and blueberry cobbler, yummm.
Troop 539 was challenged by a troop in the neighboring campsite to a game of steal the flag (glowstick style). Of course troop 539 dominated.
Saturday we biked the shoreline trail from Whiterocks Bay campground towards Bridger Bay campground. We make it a good distance before the trail got too rocky and we decided walking and carrying our bikes wasn't much fun.
We rode past buffalo grazing right along the trail and the Scouts found a gopher snake along the trail that was moving pretty slow due to the cool weather.
